Past Meets Present: USA Early Colonization Lessons

It is possible to understand broad patterns exhibited in colonization, and the English colonization effort provides modern Americans hints and insights about the USA. Valencia College Professor Carl Creasman examines his hypothesis that there are four core founding themes that serve in a similar way to the DNA nucleotides, the four main bases of our physical selves. We will look at the overall English colonization period, and starting in particular with our first four successful colonies: Jamestown, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, and St. Mary’s.
