In the second century of the Roman Empire, the promises that had seemed so easily attained under Octavian and Tiberius had collapsed after decades of “the Barracks’ Emperors.” Into the story comes Diocletian, leading to Constantine, and it is Constantine who makes a fateful decision that changes world history. Come join Valencia College Professor Carl Creasman to examine how Constantine’s decision to first align himself with, and then promote empire-wide, Christianity, changed the Empire and the faith.
