Memory Lab Use Guidelines
- NO FOOD is allowed in the Memory Lab.
- NO cell phone calls are allowed in the Memory Lab; please take your call outside of the
Memory Lab. - Speak softly and respect fellow patrons working in the Memory Lab.
- Be aware that silence in the Memory Lab is not guaranteed due to ongoing research
Archival activities. If you require complete silence, we recommend using noise canceling headphones. - Service animals are permitted in the Memory Lab. NO pets or emotional support animals are allowed.
- Research questions without an appointment will be limited to 15 minutes. If the research
or question requires more than that, an appointment will need to be made. - The Memory Lab will close occasionally for classes. Patrons will be asked to leave the Lab 15 minutes prior to class start time.
- Memory Lab equipment is not available for use when a staff member is not present.
- Memory Lab computers are NOT available for general use unless the Computer Lab is closed for
a class. - Memory Lab staff will not assist with the input of financial or private data for patrons.
- Equipment may be used by walk-ins provided it is not reserved by a different user.
- Equipment is available by appointment for full-service card holders. Reservations should be made online.
- Reciprocal cardholders and the general public may make appointments via email or phone.
