There are few cases as well-known or as passionately debated as the 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade. Please join Valencia College Professor, Dr. Heather Bryson to discuss the groundbreaking case that changed the social and political course of American history. This lecture will examine the history of abortion in America, the constitutional grounding for the 1973 decision, the enduring implications of the decision, as well as the 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case which overturned Roe. This talk promises a concise and enlightening journey through a landmark moment in American jurisprudence.
