The United States was founded as a Republic, yet by the start of the 20th century, most public leaders spoke about the country as a Democracy. Come join Valencia College Professor Carl Creasman to see how the Populist Party and the emerging Progressive movement led to a series of shifts of meaning of “government of the people.”
