Program Description

Details

Help us celebrate Space Week with beautiful art inspired by our universe and created by you! All ages are invited to pick up a 4 x 4 canvas at the second-floor information desk, paint it at home, then bring it back to be displayed during October's Space Week.

Canvases available while supplies last.

Full details:
1. Create a piece of art using the medium of your choice (paint, color pencils, etc.). If you use paint, please ensure that the canvas is completely dry before returning it to the library.
2. Please do not use any canvas other than the one provided. Do not frame your canvas.
3. The subject of your art should be "Space." For inspiration, you may want to view the amazing images captured by the amazing James Webb Space telescope. webbtelescope.org/
4. If it is unclear, draw an arrow on the back of the canvas to indicate the correct orientation (i.e. This side up).
5. Bring your finished artwork to the library by September 22.
6. Art will be on display from October 3-8. If you wish to keep your artwork after the art show, please pick it up by October 31.
7. By submitting your art, you are giving Winter Park Library permission to publicly display, photograph and promote it.
