The author’s books, Slue Foot: A Black girl grows up in the Midwest and Wildflowers: A Black Woman's journey takes root, tell the story of her family's experiences as sharecroppers in Mississippi, moving to a segregated small town in Illinois, thru to making a life in New York City. The author will take questions and sign copies of both her works which will be available for purchase after their talk.
